My expectation was that this would be a fairly typical comedy with a few funny lines here and there, but it turned out to be way better. I would say its funny from start to finish and did a great job with random comedy. Even the stuff they did that other comedies go for turned out better and funnier. Brick's character in particular was hysterical. I would recommend owning this movie. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. Move over Sandler and move over Stiller for Ferrel. Although Stiller did cameo along with Tim Robbins, Luke Wilson, Jack Black, and Vince Vaughn.
