generally jim carrey hasnt done so well with drama movies, such as the majestic. well actually, off hand i cant think of any others, but it seems like there is more. Anyways, this is another one that steps away from his usual comedy. It is definately one of my favorite carrey movies ever. I was always partial to the truman show, and its right up there with that. It is extremely depressing, or meloncholly throughout, but the ending doesnt let you leave feeling depressed as i was scared it might.
I guess some plot synopsis is in order.

Jim carrey is a shy guy, meets a girl, falls in love with her, then finds out she had him erased from her memory. He decides to go through the procedure himself, but then as he lives through the memories as they erase them, he realizes that they were wonderful memories, and wants to keep them. There is a lot of cool stuff going on in this movie. Good casting and directing. I highly recommend it, especially good to watch with the ladies ;)
