This movie was great! Lots a great action, including some nice special effects a la Matrix-esque. The writers also mixed in some pretty entertaining dialogue as well - which all added up into creating one AWESOME movie!

The movie made over 51 million during opening weekend...and has received a lot of positive feedback.

Went to see this one this past weekend, and i'd give it a solid "meh." Basically the movie is like The Fast and the Furious plus Fight Club. There's a lot of fighting with heavy emphasis on barely clothed girls, nice cars, and big houses.

The teaser trailer is out there. I'm liking how they don't ignore the whole age issue, but have some fun with it.

Entertaining? Yes.

Better than the first? No.

The movie was fun and entertaining with a good plot line, except that the plot outcome was very predictable and obvious. Taking the queue from the first movie, Ben Gates (Cage) proceeds from one clue to another in search of the Golden City. However, he solves each clue almost immediately and it's very clear from the beginning who the antagonist and what his motivation is. The result is a story that does not really capture and hold the audience.

I saw this movie today with my wife, who won tickets on some competition. It also came with a not-too-shabby hat. But how was the movie?

Well, if you're a fan of the Beowulf story its pretty good, and keeps to the original tale pretty closely right up to the confrontation with Grendel's mom. At that point it departed from the original close to entirely, and kind of killed the movie for me. I mean, I know movies rarely adhere strictly to their sources, but to be spot on on the plot points then all of a sudden make it something totally different.
