I finally watched There Will Be Blood over the weekend and was once again reminded of what a great actor Daniel Day-Lewis is. Seriously, he's scary good.

I've just finished watching the first season of HBO's Rome and love it! Rome is a historical drama television series that first hit TV's in 2006. The second season aired in 2007 and the series was then dropped -- for reasons beyond me.

The first season deals with the "transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire; a change driven by civil warfare between populists and conservatives, the decay of political institutions, and the actions of ambitious men and women."
